Welcome to the Clay County Fair

Since 1987 the Clay County Agricultural Fair has provided Clay County and Northeast Florida with an event that’s both fun and educational in a family atmosphere. In fact, the Fair Vision says it all “A Family A*Fair”.

The Fair strives to be the showcase for Clay County’s agricultural, educational, civic and commercial interests. It provides an opportunity for citizens to work and have fun together. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the fair. Their dedicated support of sharing time and talents is vital to the fair’s success.

After gate admission most exhibits and attractions are free. Eight Exhibit buildings are used for commercial, non-profits and competitive exhibits. They are:

1. Founders Exhibit Building #1
2. Reinhold Pavilion Exhibit #2
3. Patron Life Exhibit Building #3
4. J.P. Hall Family Pavilion
5. Livestock Barn #1
6. J.P. Hall Livestock Pavilion
7. Livestock Barn #2
8. Livestock Small Animal Exhibit Building

Clay County citizens are encouraged to enter the competitive exhibits to show off their talents and even possibly win money and/or a ribbon. Complete details are listed in the Fair Handbook (formally called the Premium Book) which is on this website. Just click “Fair Handbook” and find your favorite area for all the details.

Midway rides are available from Deggeller Attractions. They have provided Midway entertainment for the fair since its inception. The Midway features over 40 rides for young and old alike. Kiddy Land has been relocated with improvements including diaper changing equipped restrooms nearby.

Main Stage entertainment is located in the Cattlemen’s Arena. Special entertainment is featured almost daily during the fair. Top national acts perform in this huge facility. All entertainment is free. However, reserved seating is available for a small charge and can be done on-line. See the entertainment or ticket page for details.

The Community Stage is located east of Founders Exhibit Building #1. Entertainment and contests are held each day of the fair. Local talent performs in a relaxed atmosphere. Tables are provided so guests can enjoy fair food and entertainment at the same time.

The Early Florida Pioneer Village is a unique opportunity to step back in time to see Clay County life in years past. During the fair each exhibit is live with demonstrators dressed in the era to provide guests with a live experience of how life was in Early Florida. Food samples, shade trees and sitting areas make the live history experience and real enjoyable treat. There are many buildings in the village, each telling a story. See the Early Florida page for schedules and details.

Livestock is the foundation of the fair. The exhibits provide everyone the opportunity to experience our true agriculture roots…after all this is an agricultural fair. Today many guests have not had the opportunity to see farm life that’s so important to our American way of life. Agriculture is our lifeline for our food supply.

We hope your experience at the fair is pleasant and educational. We hope you come several times during the 10 day fair. Our goal when you leave is to hear you say “Wow…that was fun…I’ll be back”
