Know Before You Go

Be considerate of others around and follow social distancing protocols. Adherence to the guidelines will assist in our efforts to present a safe and successful fair.

COVID-19 exposure is an inherent risk in any public locations where people are present: Guests should only attend after evaluating their own health risks. The Clay County Fair Association cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit.

Purchase of a ticket, pass or ride armband and entry on to the Clay County Fairgrounds constitutes your understanding of these risks and your willingness to undertake the risk of exposure. No refunds will be given following your entry on to the Fairgrounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this replacing the annual spring fair or is this the fair?
A: No, this is a new event produced by the fair association. We are hosting this event to help our food vendors and local entertainers who lost revenue and to provide our community something to safely enjoy. There will be no animals, major rides, vendors, etc. at this event. Our annual spring fair will be back April 1st, 2021! Our 2020 fair was canceled due to COVID.

General Rules for Both Events:
  • Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Drive-up sales will not be available. Only a certain amount of tickets will be sold for this event.
  • Masks will be required in ticket scanning lines, restroom facilities, and food lines. Masks can be removed while in social squares or while in parking spaces for the movies. This will be enforced.
  • Our food vendors are required to follow CDC guidelines and we encourage guests to bring cards instead of cash to limit cash from moving back and forth.
  • We will have multiple hand washing and sanitizing stations available for guests.
  • We have hired a professional cleaning company to sanitize our restrooms and all touch spots on the grounds.
  • Help us, help you by picking up your area when you're done.
  • We will not have seats or tables available. Guests will be allowed to bring their own chairs and blankets to sit on. No tents or canopies allowed.
  • If you are buying the combo event ticket, you will need to park in the South Parking lot for Music on the Midway and then relocate your vehicle at 7pm for the movie.
  • CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED AT ALL TIMES BY PARENT/GUARDIAN WHEN VISITING RESTROOM AND CONCESSIONS.
  • ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION, SMOKING, LITTERING & BRINGING PETS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • This is a family event, please be respectful of people and property.
Rules for Music on the Midway:
  • Masks can be removed while in social squares, but must be worn while in food lines or restroom facilities.
  • Guests are asked to stay within the marked social squares. No more than 10 people per square. Social squares are 10ft x 10ft and 6ft from other squares
  • Please know that we will not have shade available, this event is held on the midway in the grass.
  • Food Road will be open during concerts, we encourage our guests to please support our food vendors. They have lost a significant amount of income due to the massive amount of event cancellations.
  • Some bands may not be appropriate for young children, please use your best judgement when attending concerts.
  • Gates for Music on the Midway open at 10:30am and the last band goes on stage at 5pm.
  • Dancing and singing is recommended, have fun, we've all had a rough year!
Rules for the Movie Night:
  • Gates for the Movies will open at 7pm and vehicles must arrive BEFORE SHOW BEGINS at 9pm. DJ Roy will be onsite from 7pm-9pm!
  • FM radio channel will be announced at the movie- check signage on the screen and around the grounds.
  • Movies will be played on a BIG state of the art high definition screen 10ft x 17ft and 22ft high. We will have 2 screens in the parking lot, 1 screen per 4 lanes of parked cars.
  • Masks can be removed while in parking spaces for the movies, but must be worn while in food lines or restroom facilities.
  • Food Road will be open during movie times, we encourage our guests to please support our food vendors. They have lost a significant amount of income due to the massive amount of event cancellations.
  • All attendees of the movie must be in a standard passenger vehicle. Pedestrians, bikes, motorcycles, buses, RVs, limousines commercial passenger vans, over-sized-vehicles and trailers are not permitted. Trucks and larger vehicles will be parked in the back.
  • Follow parking attendant’s guidance to parking spot.
  • Guests are allowed to be outside of their vehicle, but must stay within their marked space. No more than 10 people per parking space. Spaces are over-sized parking spots.
  • Limit of 200 vehicles per movie.

What is included in the $10 ticket price?

Each $10 car load ticket includes concert and food road, this does not include movies! A car load is defined as the legal amount of people allowed in a particular car. We cannot accommodate trailers, RVs, or large vans at this event. Parking is limited. (Please note that a $1 service fee will be added at the time of ticket purchase. Sales tax is included.) Food purchases are not included in the ticket price. Check menu for food pricing.


WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE $30 TICKET PRICE?

Each $30 vehicle ticket includes a movie and access to food road for up to a car load. This ticket does not include concerts. A car load is defined as the legal amount of people allowed in a particular car. We cannot accommodate trailers, RVs, or large vans at this event. Parking is limited. (Please note that a $2 service fee will be added at the time of ticket purchase. Sales tax is included.) Food purchases are not included in the ticket price. Check menu for food pricing. There is a $10 food ONLY ticket for those that want to come to the event and eat fair food only, with no movie.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE $35 TICKET PRICE?

Each $35 combo ticket includes concerts, a movie and access to food road for up to a car load of people. A car load is defined as the legal amount of people allowed in a particular car. We cannot accommodate trailers, RVs, or large vans at this event. Parking is limited. (Please note that a $2 service fee will be added at the time of ticket purchase. Sales tax is included.) Food purchases are not included in the ticket price. Check menu for food pricing.

Why does This EVENT COST MONEY TO ATTEND?

We count on annual Fair revenue to fund our annual Agricultural fair and all of the community services we do annually. We had to cancel our fair this year due to COVID-19 and we unfortunately lost revenue. Additionally, a per-vehicle fee helps to cover costs of providing adequate staffing, amenities and public safety services associated with hosting this event. While this event is held on county property, we are not affiliated with the county and we do not receive funding from the county. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 association that rents the grounds from the county to host our events.

We are thankful to the many fair fans who are looking forward to enjoying some Fair food favorites and who will be helping the fair weather a year without our annual fair!

What health and safety requirements will be in place?

The Clay County Agricultural Fair and our guests must comply with Florida Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines. We require our guests to wear masks while they are in ticket lines, food lines, and restroom facilities. All Fair staff will wear masks. Concessionaire staff will wear masks and gloves. To assist with social distancing, all guests are asked to remain 6 ft apart, in social squares and in their vehicle parking spaces. Vendors will follow Florida Department of Health guidelines for food workers and food establishments, including frequent hand washing and disinfecting and sanitizing work surfaces and customer contact equipment. We have hired a professional cleaning company to sanitize our restroom facilities and our grounds. We are doing everything we can to ensure our guests are having a safe environment to enjoy. Please, do not attend this event if you are sick. We will have several hand sanitizing stations and hand washing stations available for our guests.
